2015 - Our favourites
When we think about it, 2015 has been pretty action packed, lots of bikes, lots of adventures and lots of cake. I'm not sure if picking our favourite things from this year will result in us picking everything but we'll see...
We took part in the London Revolution in May, a two day sportive around London, covering 200 miles, including the riding to the start and riding home! We stupidly did this all on our fixed gear bikes, we complained a lot and it was tough but we loved it, maybe next year we'll do it with gears though, 10,000 ft of fixed climbing is not something we'd repeat anytime soon!
2015 sparked a new partnership with Adidas. We were lucky enough to try out the new Adistar kit whilst riding with our cycling friends - Rudy and Luke of the 5th Floor, Lorna (Queen of The Mile) and Sophie (Challenge Sophie) whilst our good friend Jon Baines snapped some photos. We even made it onto the Adidas instagram!
Red Hook Crit
The Red Hook Crit came to London for the first time and it was amazing! It was so good to meet people from all over the world who all share the same interest, the weather couldn't have been more perfect too, It was one of those rare hot sunny days! Looking forward to the 2016 series.
Oakley In Residence
Oakley In Residence opened at Exmouth Market and brought lots of great bicycle related events to the city.
I travelled to South Africa and got to witness the epic adventure that is the Tour of Ara, a six day all gravel stage race through the never ending beauty that is the Cederberg Mountains and the Karoo. I did some touring, went to the Africa Cycle Fair and generally got a great feel for cycling in South Africa. I met some lovely people and went to some amazing bike shops -Woodstock Cycle Works in Cape Town, Whippet Cycling Co in Jo'burg.
Alleycats The Movie
We starred in our first movie!
...Ok, so we were just background extras, but we had an amazing day out filming with director Ian Bonhôte for his 2016 feature film, Alleycats. We won't give too much of the story away, but expect to see us whiz past in Halloween fancy dress on the big screen very soon!
We started our project all about the female cyclists of London, from racer to commuter and everything in between, more coming for 2016!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, especially everyone in the cycling community in London, we're so lucky to have a huge community of amazing people.
