The London Bike Show
Thursday was a super busy day for us with lots to do in the morning and then off to
The London Bike Show and the Total Womens Cycling awards.
We had a few little errands to run in between and obviously all of this was done on bike with some friends, so naturally we were racing through the busy streets of London, which was heaps of fun but by the end of the day we were like little moaning children. Completely pooped!
There was so much to see and do at the Bike Show and lots of interactive things too which was fun. We loitered around the stands ogling the shiny bikes, chatting to people. Sam and our lovely friend Indra had a go at the track stand competition, where if you could do it for longer than 30 seconds you won a ticket to Revolution Series.
Sam took part just for the ticket and also managed to place quite high but was the only female to enter so far! Indra who can literally track stand for days came first with a crazy time of 45 minutes. We actually left him and went back cause watching someone track stand for that long is really not so fun.
We got to meet Kelli Samuelson who we interviewed a few weeks ago. It was great to meet her in person and chat more about women's cycling and the Red Hook Crit. Exciting to hear she's coming over to race the Red Hook here in London in June!
The Action Sports Tour area was pretty fun, as well as having the pro's doing crazy tricks which made me feel sick just watching and there was a little pump track which you can have a go on yourself.
Amongst all the beautiful bikes there was lots of clothing. Our favourites included Huez their slick designs mixed with carefully considered functions make for some seriously dreamy cycle clothing. The Levi's commuter range was another favourite, including a pair of water repellent jeans which I know I could definitely do with a pair.
Here's some pictures of some of the gems we found there. Lots of carbon and aero and just general bike porn. If you're around get yourself there, it's on until Sunday!
